Entourage 2004 and Exchange error: "Could not synchronize record"

Hi there,

Exchange woes, alas...

Configuration:
PC: XPSP2, Office 2003
Server: Exchange 2000
Mac: 10.3.6, Office 2004

I deleted an appointment on my PC and now my Mac is in an infinite error
loop, reporting on every sync attempt:
Could not synchronize record: Canceled: Appointment to Exchange server:
Exchange

Any ideas how I can kill this phantom appointment? No such error appears on
the PC side.
