Entourage 2004 and Exchange Server 2003

I am able to successfully connect to our Exchange Server when I am in the
office, but when I try to connect remotely thru my Checkpoint VPN, Entourage
sees all of my Exchange mailbox folders, but does not bring up any of my
email messages, Calendar entries, etc. However, if I put our OWA server
address in the Entourage account settings, everything comes down, although
synchronization seems very slow. I am used to using Outlook to connect thru
the VPN and when doing that I see my Exchange mail folders as if I was in
the office with virtually no slowdown in perfromance. Does anyone know why
this is happening and, if so, is their a solution?

That is strange. I connect to Exchange 2003 through CheckPoint just
fine. Mac OS 10.4.7, Entourage 11.2.5, latest CheckPoint client.

I thought the entire mailbox was downloaded to the database and when
you connect to Exchange you only get the new stuff. Am I wrong in
this? If that were the case you should be able to see all of those
emails whether you are online or off.

I don't know what you have set in your account settings but you might
want to make sure you are using either the IP of the Exchange server or
the FQDN.
