Entourage 2004 and Links...AAARGHHH!!!

Why are links so poorly implemented in Entourage 2004? It seems a HUGE step
back from Entourage X. Among other things:

* Links to Calendar entries provides you with a list instead of a calendar
style view, and this list view can¹t be sorted- linking to calendar events
is almost useless;
* Links to Tasks show ALL tasks, forcing you to wade through every task to
find the one you need (at least these sort);
* The windows you open aren¹t ³sticky² or remember their last size so when
you have to go through your hundreds of Tasks or Contacts, you have to
re-size the window EVERY time

What was so wrong with Entourage X¹s way of doing things where it opened
up the regular Calendar, Tasks, etc., and you just did a drag-and-drop into
the Links window? PLEASE...if anyone from Microsoft reads this...this needs
to be sorely fixed! Links were one of Entourage X¹s most useful features for
me, but it is a much more laborious in Entourage 2004, almost to the point
of being unusable.

You can still drag and drop links. Open the links window for one item, and
drag any other item into that links window to link them.

That doesn¹t really address the problem. I would imagine the most common way
90% of users use the ³Link to Existing...² (if they need to use an event
already created). While the workaround you suggest works, it¹s not the way I
would expect the functionality to work. I wouldn¹t expect it to be more
difficult than the previous version.

Select an item, let¹s say a contact.
Go to the Tools menu, choose Open Links
Move this window so it will be at least partly visible when it is in the
background
Find another item in Entourage to link to it, like a Task
Drag that task onto the open Links window.

Is it me, or does that seem cumbersome, when the menu option ³Link To
Existing² are already present??
