Entourage 2004 and MS Exchange server 5.5

I'm trying to connect entourage 2004 to MS Exchange 5.5
and I get the following error in Entourage. The account
is setup to use IMAP.

The Mac is running OS 10.3 (panther)

Mail could not be received at this time. The server for
account "xxxxx"
returned the error "command not implemented." Your
username/password or
security settings may be incorrect. Would you like to try
re-entering your
password?

Please help

Try the username as 'domain\username'.
We sometimes have to do that.
