Entourage 2004 and public sub-folder

I've been reading posts in this newsgroup and know that people are able to
get public folder working in Entourage 2004. And I learnt that I have to
click "subscribe" to see the messages in public folder. But something
doesn't work for me is the sub-folder in public folder. For example, I have
this sub-folder called User Support. Inside I have projects, solutions, etc.
sub-folders.

After I subscribe to User Support, I can only see the messages in this
folder. The projects and solutions folder won't show up at all. And it won't
show up no matter how long I wait. Does it happen to somebody else, or just
me?

(We have Exchange 2003 in AD 2003 domain.)

You have to subscribe to each subfolder individually if you want to also see
them. They will show up in a flat list; subscribed folders don't show
hierarchy.

So that's how it works for everyone who "got it working"? That's a terrible
solution -- Dave, I don't mean that's your fault.

The two sub-folders I mentioned in my post were just examples. We, other
companies might as well, have many many sub-folders in public folder. And
now we have to subscribe to every single one of them? Entourage X works same
as Outlook with this aspect, with no problem as all. Why Microsoft has to
change it.

If you want Entourage 2004 to work like Entourage X, just create an IMAP
account that points at your Exchange server.

A regular IMAP account in Entourage 2004 doesn't get the Public Folder. It
doesn't work for me. Have you tried it? How do you set it up?

If it worked with Entourage X, it should work the same with Entourage 2004.
Of course your Exchange admin would need to set up the server to support
IMAP access of public folders.

Sorry if I confused you. When I said:

I meant the Exchange plug-in in Entourage X, not regular IMAP in Entourage
X. The Exchange connection in Entourage X lists public folder the same way
as Outlook does. Apple Mail (10.3 version) does that too.

Of course, I can use OWA to open public folder nicely. But having to have
two programs to do one thing, that's not acceptable.
