entourage 2004 and the shared calendar

hi - we have a shared calendar that the entourage users are able to see but
everytime they leave the calendar to check their mail, the calendar has to
reload and we have been using the shared calendar for years so there is a
lot of loading to do. Do we have something set wrong or is there someway to
correct this? We use Exchange 2000.
