Entourage 2004 - can't edit incoming emails

According to Entourage Help, I should be able to edit incoming emails
by clicking on the "Edit Message" button. However, this button is
always "greyed out", hence not available.

Can someone suggest how to solve the problem?

Presumably you use an Exchange server? I can edit messages on my IMAP
account, but not on my Exchange account. If I want to delete an
attachment, I move the message to my IMAP account, delete the attachment
and move it back. Quite a faff, but I don't do it often.
