Entourage 2004 Conduit Settings do not open

Running the Entourage 2004 palm conduit installs OK. but when you run
conduit setup the conduit config simply does not open, even if you
uninstall Office 2004 and Palm, search for all preferences and start
again.
I've seen advise out there suggesting logging off and on one or two times
as a workaround, but this is not happening for me..Using OSX 10.3.6
Any suggestions?

I've suddenly experienced the exact same problem, after months of syncing no
problem between a Palm PDA and Entourage 2004. I go away for a week
vacation, and when I return to sync it will not. I cannot open Entourage
conduit settings. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Palm software and the
Entourage conduit many many times, with no difference.

Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem. I have tried everything that I know to
do. The Handheld Sync just does not work. I loaded the version for
Office X and it at least will give me some program options, but it
doesn't sync.

I hope someone has an answer.

I had the same problem, and still have it unsolved.
But don't uninstall old Entourage as was suggested by somebody in this news
server before.
It only brings about problems, no solution.

Same problem here.

Config:
Os X version 10.3.7
Imac 17" w/ 1.25 Ghz
Entourage vX
hot synch manager 3.1
Zire 21

troubleshooting so far:
deleted all the related files I could find
restored hot synch to work with palm desktop-successful
re-installed ms conduit software from 2004 CD
not using 2004 office
got the conduit settings to work once and check that it was configured
correctly
did a hot synch with entourage that took a long time to complete
nothing actually synched on Entourage or the PDA
went back to check the settings and I could not access them again.
picked up the imac to throw it out the window
then remembered that it is probably an MS problem and not apple so I
threw the old PC out the window (again)

After some more searching on the web, I discovered my problem but I
don't know if it will help everyone.

I had recently installed Office 2004 but I switched back to vX because
it loaded faster and the fonts were better. However, I had upgraded
the hotsynch installer thinking it would just be an updated version
that would work with both. WRONG! I had to uninstall the synch
program, then I reverted the conduit settings to the desktop program,
then I went back and downloaded the vX hot synch installer. Running
that program again solved the problem. Now I am back to successful
synchs.

Hope that helps some folks.
