Entourage 2004 - Copying Messages Between Identities?

So I¹ve spent the last 3 hours restoring my Entourage 2004 database from
backup and downloading saved messages (thank God for a large .Mac account).
However, before I delete the old identity, I wanted to copy the sent
messages from the past day (after my last backup) into the new identity. Is
this possible?

I never figured how unwieldy having everything in one database file could be
until now...

Using the old identity, put them all in a folder (a mailbox), and drag
it to the Finder to export it. Now switch to the new identity and import
that folder.

This doesn't really have anything to do with database files. m.
