When opening the preferencs in Entourage 2004 it crashes. Just today
everything in the sent folder is gone too. Any ideas?
This is a rare problem. One user found that re-install of Office fixed the
problem. Use "Remove Office" then install from CD and update. 11.3.5,
11.3.6, 11.3.7.
I would also run the latest Apple Combo updater. Doing so overwrites
potentially problem-causing files. Several users have reported this fixed
some odd problems they were having with Entourage. Combo updaters will
install on the same version as they¹re applying‹no need to roll back or do a
clean install.

I would also check your drives for possible failure. In Disk Utility, select
a hard disk in the list of disks and volume. Look at the bottom of the
window for the S.M.A.R.T. Status. If the S.M.A.R.T. status for a disk shows
"Verified," nothing is wrong with it. If you see "About to Fail" in red
letters, you should back up the disk and replace it as soon as possible.
Check in the Activity Monitor for disk usage. Are your drives full?
