Entourage 2004 Database Utility

I tried using the Database Utility yesterday, and it made a backup, but the
³new² copy (new identity) it created lost some of my settings for example,
folders I had assigned categories to, etc. Has anyone used the Database
Utility successfully? Is what I experienced the way it is supposed to work?

I've used it successfully several times already. If you lost some of the
settings, I would guess that it could be because the information was
corrupted beyond repair...

Using an advanced rebuild, some information will be lost - things like
folder associations in rules, links between messages and contacts etc. This
is entirely normal and expected, because in an advanced rebuild entourage
does not use the previous database indexes to recreate the data - it works
from the database items themselves, giving them new IDs etc, so such
associations are inevitably lost.
