This is a new one to me:
I have a week-old contact who has an AOL address. I had given him a
"Business" category, and typed out his email address in all small
letters, like this:
[email protected].
This morning, I received the first email from this contact. I
immediately noticed that there was no category assigned to this email,
and therefore was categorized with "None." I thought that was odd; when
I hit Command-+, it added him as a new Contact. So, I opened up this
person's Contact window that I had created and compared the email
address, and they were identical. The only difference was that I had
typed his email in small letters, where as he had typed his name with
ALL CAPS. I triple-checked the spelling, and they are definitely
identical.
I had no idea that Entourage would make any distinction in case
sensitivity in email addresses. Or is this only with AOL addresses?
