entourage 2004, excahnge 2000

hi guys,

I am having an issue with adding an exchange account on
entourage 2004. This is a trial verison which i
installed, so i dont have any microsoft support.
When i am adding the excahnge account, i am getting an
error that the server, name server, directory server
could not be located. I tried with all teh settings i
could but with out any luck.
The name of the exchange server is cfp_exch_server.cfp-
excahnge.com.ky, where "cfp-exchange.com.ky" is the
domain name . I tired even with the ip's and no luck.

Can some one help me out on this please.

Make sure you've applied the latest service packs for Exchange Server 2000.

Click the "Next" button when Entourage tells you that it couldn't detect the
servers. That will allow you to enter all of the necessary server
information manually. There are several cases in which the automatic
detection won't work properly, one being if there is a front-end server in
use.

Alternatively, you can click the "Configure account manually" button to
begin with, which is the full interface for editing Exchange account
information.

Thanks for the reply mike,

I tried with the manual settings too and it didnt work
either. All the other mac's with OS 9 and outlook 2001
have no problem accessing the exchange.
The exchange 2000 has service pack 3, I think that is
compatible with the entourage 2004.
