The first time I set up an exchange connection with entourage it was
not a problem. I received email and could see public files. But, one
month after setting it up, it quit connecting to the server. Nothing I
have tried (reinstalling, recreating exchange connection, etc) has
helped me reconnect. The weird thing is that my friend who works for
the same company had the same thing happen to him but earlier. It
worked and then about a month later it did not.
Here is what I have noticed and may be the clue. When I first set up
exchange, in the "edit exchange server" box my tabs were:
Account Settings, Mail, Directory, Advanced, Delegate, Security.
Now, they are:
Account Settings, Options, Advanced, Delegate, Security.
The key element that is missing from the edit box are the
SYNCHRONIZATION OPTIONS under the advanced tab. They no longer exist.
One of my guesses is that it is connected to the service pack 2 update
or some other update.
