Entourage 2004 & group calendars

Hi there;

I've been trying to get away from Outlook 2001 (and OS 9) but absolutely
must have the public/group calendar functions it has that Entourage X does
not. Is 2004 back up to snuff in these areas where 2001 already was?

No, you should stick with Outlook 2001.

Nope. No shared calendars, no public calendars and no tasks or notes
from the exchange server. You get more from the web client.

But you don't get offline access to your Exchange data, which I find
invaluable.

Thank you. This may be a silly question, but does anyone know why this is
still broken 3 years after it was working?

What was working 3 years ago that is now broken in Entourage?

What was working 3 years ago that is now broken in Entourage?
The ability to use shared/public calendars, tasks, notes on the Exchange
server. That's the way our department works and that's what I need. It works
in Outlook 2001 (~3 years ago), but hasn't worked since.

As far as I can tell, all of that still works fine in Outlook 2001.
Entourage never supported these features so it's unfair to say that it is
"broken" in Entourage.

While I see your point, I think that's a little like saying (hypothetically
speaking) that the current internet browser from MS doesn't support CSS but
since it never supported it it's not broken, even though the old browser
supported CSS and the new one does, too, just not on your platform.
In any case, thank you for the information. You saved me the upgrade fee.
