Entourage 2004, IMAP and Projects

Norbert Lieckfeldt

I think I'm too stupid here, can anyone enlighten me? I receive my
emails via IMAP and they are held on a central server (though not
exchange).

I am trying to work more with smart folders and projects like Mail (in
connection with Mail tags). It doesn't look like I can put a project
folder on the IMAP server. If I move the message to the project folder
created under Folders on my Computer then I lose them from the IMAP
storage - and what's the difference between that and just moving them to
a normal mail folder on the IMAP server?

Also, is there a way in which I can access the process center from
within Entourage, or at least directly from a shortcut rather than
having to open, say, Word?

Thanks!

Norbert

For 'smart folders', use Entourage 'Mail Views', aka 'Custom Views'
and projects like Mail (in

No, project shares need to be on a mountable drive - this can include SMB
shared files - such as folders shared by windows machines.

None at all - the 'project folder' created when you create a folder is just
a normal local folder. You don't need to use these folders - mail can be
include din a project wherever it resides.

Cmd-6, 'View' menu, 'Goto'>'Project Centre', or the sixth icon (the
suitcase) in the top left hand corner of the main browser window.
