Entourage 2004 Junk E-Mail Filter Is Not Working

I'm also an Entourage 2004 user. I'm an expert user. I've been using
it since it was available (and the previous versions, I've been using
for years). And now suddenly the Junk E-Mail filter has stopped
working. Just out of the blue after months of perfect use. I've read
many postings and all the responses seem to be "you must have changed
something…" or "you've got something turned off." But I'm using
everything correctly, so please don't respond with something like
that. I haven't renamed anything or changed any settings. Has anyone
had this experience and found a remedy?

I'm using Entourage 2004. I get 20 junk e-mails per Send & Receive. 90
percent of them are categorized as "Misc." for some reason. (No, I
don't have any rules that even contain "Misc.") They're categorized
Misc. and they get dumped/left in my Inbox. It's very frustrating.

Any workarounds or information out there? I can't find any - anywhere
on the Internet. I'm bummed. I paid a lot of money to get this
software (which I've been very happy with until now). Maybe it's just
clever spammers - or virus software?

Have you tried the Verify in the Database Utility? If it verifies OK, then
try File: Export. Select all categories. Can you export your database?
