Entourage 2004 Mac digitally signed email and AIM

Hi. I was wondering if anyone else is having this problem...

I can send digitally signed email from Entourage 2004 on Mac 10.4 from
my sbc/yahoo account to other non-AIM email accounts with no problems.
But if I send the email through AIM's mail servers, the receiving
client reports that the email has been tampered with, even though it
hasn't. Also, if I send a signed email through my yahoo POP account TO
my AIM account, entourage also reports that the email has been tampered
with.

Can it be possible that both AIM's IMAP and SMTP servers are doing
something to the email in transit that makes Entourage think it's been
tampered with?

Any thoughts?

Well, it must have. Digital signature verification will fail if a single bit
changes in the thing being signed, or a single extra space gets added
somewhere. If *anything* has changed, the signature *will* fail. That's the
whole point :)

Yes. AIM's servers are breaking S/MIME email. Complain to AIM.

Cheers,

Chris
