I am running Entourage on 2 different Macs, a dual G5 with OS 10.3.9
and a powerbook with OS 10.4.2. I have the same problem on both
machines. I connect remotely to my company's VPN to retrieve my email.
The problem is that Entourage refuses to receive any new email unless
it is the active application. If I have it in the background, and I'm
working on something else, it will never receive any new mail. As soon
as I pull it up as the foreground application, then all my mail for the
last few hours (or however long it's been) comes flooding in at once.
This is a recent thing, by the way. Entourage used to receive my mail
just fine when it was in the background. It suddenly stopped working
about a month ago, even though I did not change any of the settings
myself.
Has anyone else had this problem, or know what I can do to correct it?
