I know that I've seen other people post problems very similar to this,
but mine is slightly different. Where I work, LDAP is disabled. They
are using "pure" active directory for any addresses.
When I use Apple Mail, I can begin to type in a person's name and it is
automatically checked against the Active Directory list and it will
autocomplete the name. THAT IS WHAT I WANT! It works beautifully, but
I must use Entourage for other reasons. When I start typing a name in
Entourage, it only checks against my personal address book. Normally I
would set up a GAL using an existing LDAP server, but that can't happen
since we don't have one.
Why does Apple Mail work fine with the "pure" AD approach, and
Entourage is having such problems? Is there anything I can do to fix
this, or am I doomed to constantly calling co-workers to get their
email addresses?
