entourage 2004 re-receiving deleted emails previously left on pop3 server?

This is a chronic problem, which never existed prior to using Entourage 2004
with SP1 update using comcast's pop3 server.

Can Microsoft please respond by acknowledging the problem and identify
when a fix can be expected, or identify how it may be remedied short of not
leaving downloaded email on the pop server?

Prior to using Entourage 2004, which mail app where you using? I have
seen the same issue with Apple Mail and an upgrade from a pop account
to a IMAP Exchange 2003 account.
