entourage 2004 send/receive not working

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Email Client: imap

have my "send/receive all" set to check for new messages every two minutes. but i am not getting any of my new message. i have to click on the other email account, then click back onto my inbox in order for any new messages to pop up. Can anyone help me resolve this issue? am on an imap server.

Every two minutes might be too short of a time. Try setting to 5 min and see
if the problem improves.

In Schedules, open your IMAP schedule --> Select "Click here for account
options" select your folders.
