Hi,

How can I find out how many GBs my Entourage 2004 folders are
consuming at this point? If I get info it only tells me the size of
the application (10.7 MB).

What is the effective working limit of Entourage?

Get Info on the /Users/you/Documents/Microsoft User Data folder.

Not sure, but my Entourage identity's database is 2.16 GB, and all is well.

So it would be the Office 2004 Identities/Main Identity/Database file?
In which case it's over 7 GB.

Yep. I'd say it's time to compact that database - that's huge. To
compact it, ensure you have a recent backup of your identity, then run
/Applications/Microsoft Office 2004/Office/Database Utility and follow
the directions for compacting.

The Entourage 2004 database has no size limit, just a limit to the number of
items in the Entourage database: 2 million database items.

Note: Database items, not Entourage objects (such as messages, contacts,
events, etc.). Dave Cortright, Entourage developer, explains it this way: An
email or news message is actually TWO database items, and for anyone with
near a million Entourage objects (messages, contacts, events, etc.), they
will almost all be messages - the other stuff will be "loose change". So the
limit is effectively just under 1 million messages. Entourage will notify
you if you ever approach the limit.

There is no way that I know about. If you select your database file in the
Finder are you saying it's only (10.7 MB)?
