I imported all User Data into Entourage 2004 (11.1.0) from Entourage X
(10.1.6). Everything went smoothly. There are three POP accounts, two
at Yahoo and one at MSN. Everything works except that the MSN account
does not recognize the password to receive mail messages. I now
receive the following error message in Entourage 2004:
"Mail could not be received at this time. The server for account
"*******" returned the error "command not implemented." Your
username/password or security settings may be incorrect. Would you
like to try re-entering your password?"
After re-entering the password I get the same error message.
Upon trying to access the same accounts back in Entourage X, I received
the same error message as above, never having received this error
message before. Entering the password worked! Returning to Entourage
2004, the error message is back and entering the password produces the
same error message again. Tried Entourage X again and was required to
re-enter the password (even though I checked the "save password" box
before) which also worked.
Tried sending an email from the MSN account in Entourage 2004 and
received the following error message:
"Error
Authentication failed because Entourage doesn't support any of the
available authentication methods.
Explanation
Mail could not be sent.
Account name: "*******"
Error: -17897"
The other two accounts sent messages just fine.
Any ideas? Thank you! whoever replies.
