I got a weird situation when selecting records to go into a project
that crunched up the database and had to use the Database utility to
see any more shared items. This is repeatable for me and maybe for
anyone else who tries it in this Entourage 2004 version.
Here's what I did:
1. In the address display, select the items to share. They were not in
the project so the first step is to put them there.
2. Select (in the Project column) the project these contacts belong in.
Note that selecting all your highlighted items can be done at once.
3. Go to the Projects window. Without changing the selection (you will
see those highlighted items but they may be dispersed by whatever
sorting options you previously selected for that window), select share
at the bottom of the screen and then the drop down Share Contacts.
4. Here's where it gets weird. Only the highlighted items show up
afterwards. After that...
5. No other items (like the 230 some odd already shared items in the
Project) are visible or can be made visible.
Rebuilding the database using the separate app Databse Utility is the
only way I could find to fix this problem. I'd like to hear from
Microsoft about this and if it's a real bug.
