Entourage 2008 and calendar within public folders

My exchange account is working perfectly with entourage 2008 except for my calendar within public folders. Every time I open the calendar it takes ages to download, and every time you close and open the program it needs to download it again. Is there a way of getting entourage to download it permanently so it just updates when I enter the folder? I have copied the calendar into my local folders which means i can see it without having to download each time but the problem with that is it doesn't update when others in my office add an event/meeting etc......very frustrating!

Add this item to the "Subscribed Public Folders" folder at the top level
of the Public Folders and it will be kept synchronized.
