Entourage 2008 db corruption after 2004 inport

Upgraded to 2008, imported my 2004 identity (5GB) and when I switch to this new identity the database is corrupted. I've tried rebuilding and it always fails.

This archive is not up on my exchange server but on a local disk, what are my options?

How can I debug this further? Thanks! (running 10.4.11)

I solved the problem by exporting all mail in 2004 to a .rge archive and imported that into 2008. This worked perfectly and my database is stable.
