Entourage 2008 Not Downloading Emails - Tried everything, pleasehelp!

Hello,

I've installed Entourage 2008 a few days ago, looking to connect to
Exchange, but it keeps stalling, stating "Updating "Name of Folder""
within my inbox but never gets anywhere. I expected to wait a few
minutes, but i've waited hours with no success.

Summary:
- Entourage displays my calendar and the company address book
- Entourage displays the folder inside my inbox
- I've tested my configuration on OS X mail and it downloaded my
entire inbox in less than 2 minutes
- None of my folders show any emails
- I've requested to download "subjects only" in the hope that it would
go faster, no luck.

So in essence, it looks like my configuration is correct but still no,
no luck. I have quite a few emails with large attachments and deal on
a regular basis with European countries (there may be some weird
characters there but i haven't read about this being an issue in
Entourage 08).

If anyone has had the same problem or can offer a solution, i would be
very grateful.

Hi Francois,

I have a very similar issue with the new Office 2008 suite. I am running Mac
OS X 10.5.1 with Entourage 2008 c 12.0.0 (071130) . It takes forever to
update calendar info and such, and it only downloads partial of my inbox. My
smartphone with EDGE connection (117 kbps max) can synchronize to the
exchange folder within minutes, but my Entourage has been going at it for
over 30 mins and it still hasn't finished synchronizing calendars, and my
inbox only has emails up to September of last year, whereas I should have a
lot more email from September until now.

If anyone has a solution to this problem please share with us.
