Entourage 2008

I installed the new Entourage and I cannot use it as it says "could not
change to that identity" when I launch it.

The other programs in office tell me that there are problems with the
database and to use the MS database utility... which I do but to no avail.

Please help

Also before anyone suggests it:
I have the right permissions, have deleted the Microsoft User data (as I
have not used Entourage before)... but still no luck.

I've never seen that error message before. Is that the exact error message?

How did you install Leopard? Did you do a "clean" install (erase the HD and
import your docs with Migration Assistant at the initial restart after
installation), or did you upgrade over Tiger with all user accounts
remaining in place on the HD?

What version of Entourage did you import? What was the size of your
database?

It appears Entourage opens without crashing. Does it open in a blank
database or the database you imported?

If you create a new blank Identity does it work as expected?
