Entourage alarms confused about time zones

Here's the situation:

1. Computer was originally set up for Pacific time, and the Calender
alarms worked fine.

2. I traveled to NYC for a week, changed to East Coast time for the
trip.

3. Got back, and switched back to Pacific.

4. Outlook is setup to use Pacific as a default for the time zone.

Now every alarm happens 3 hours later than it should. OS-X set for
Pacific, Entourage set for Pacific. Looking at events ... they are
Pacific as well.

How do I fix this?

I have run into this exact same problems. The solution that Diane
proposes is not effective for this problem. All of the events that I
scheduled while on the West coast get moved to East coast time, even
though I did not want that.
I wish Entourage had a check box or something that said "ignore time
zone" when creating events and appointments or as a general preference.
That way, if I create a meeting at 1:00p next week, when I am on the
East Coast, the appointment doesn't move to 10:00a when I change my
local time zone in the system Date & Time.
