Entourage and Exchange 2000 Global Catalog

Is it true that Entourage for OS X running on Exchange
2000 doesn't support autocompletion of email names held in
the Exchange serve global catalog?!

Is there a workaround for this?

I fear it is. THe support for the global address book comes from LDAP
and its integration in Entourage is somehow limited.
Is there a workaround for this?

None that I know or have heard of (but I can't even get LDAP to work so
what do I know).
