entourage and exchange server problems

I can't see my contact groups in either my contacts folder or on the
public folder that I use. In both of those contact folders, I am not
allowed to create a group (icon is greyed out). Is there a fix to
this? If not, I am going to be forced to a) use Outlook via Parallels,
or b) make my whole office switch from Exchange server to something
else that works with macs ;) ha ha.

Please let me know if anyone has a workaround to this issue.
thanks,
Charles

There is not. You can create Groups locally in your Entourage Address book.

If only one person is maintaining an address book group, you can create it
on the Exchange server (using Outlook) and Entourage users can send mail to
it.

If multiple people need to maintain it, the Project Center may be an option.
This is not a topic with which I am familiar, however.

HOW WOULD I DO THIS? MY COWORKER MAINTAINS THE ADDRESS BOOK GROUPS
(VIA OUTLOOK ON THE EXCHANGE SERVER). CAN I SEND AN EMAIL TO THOSE
GROUPS (IN BCC: FORMAT)? I REALLY DON'T NEED TO CHANGE THE GROUPS -
JUST NEED TO BE ABLE TO SEND EMAILS TO THE GROUP. THANKS, CHARLES

Have the co-worker create a distribution list, which will give the group its
own email address to which you can send messages. Your Exchange
Administrator should be able to help with this.
