Entourage and Linux mail server

We are using a Linux mail server and neither Entourage 10.1.4 running on
OSX.3 or Outlook Express on OS 9.1 will connect to the mail server. However
OSX's Mail and Netscape Communicator work without a problem. The trouble is
we don't want to use those applications, we want to use Entourage. Is there
any hope of using Entourage with our Linux mail server?

Absolutely. Since I'm sure the mail server you are using is open source,
just download the source code for the mail server and fix the problem
yourself :)

Seriously, what is the name and version of the server you are using?
