Entourage and Microsoft Exchange 5.5

I have a MAC laptop using Entourage as the email application.
I can send and receive email from our corporate email server, which is
running Microsoft Exchange 5.5
However, the contacts and calendar functions do not seem to work.
Is this an exchange 5.5 limitation?

It definitively is an incompatibility between Entourage and Exchange
5.5. Withthis version, you can only get your e-mail through IMAP.
