Entourage and secure Exchange Server

I've configured Entourage to connect to a secure Exchange Server at
work. Everything works fine except that when I launch Entourage and
connect I get a warning "Unable to establish a secure connection
because the correct root certificate is not installed." My
understanding from our IT guys is that the server won't allow a
non-secure connection, so I'm not sure what to make of the warning. I
installed the certificate provided by our Exchange Server. So ... is
this a spurious warning? Is the connnection in fact not secure?

Can you provide information how you got Entourage to connect to the Exchange
server?

I have had no luck so far in getting a connection to my company server.

As far as I understand the way it works, I would guess that the
connection will be encrypted but is not considered secure because the
root certificate you have doesn't cover the server you are connecting to
(therefore you are not absolutely sure the server has a valid
certificate).
It loks liek you don't have the proper root certificate installed :-\

The only thng you relly need is the root-certificate for the server. You
should be able to easely add it up to the keychain (of the MS cert app:
they both work together).

If you still get this warning after installing the root certificate (as
mentioned in another reply), try connect to OWA with a web browser and
see if it finds any faults with the certificate. I got this message
because the certificate was expired (I had installed the root cert, and
as soon as we updated the server certificate, the error message stopped
appearing).
