Entourage Automatically Responding to e-Mails

I've been using Entourage as my default e-mail application for several months, now, but last week, it started doing something I've not heard of:

When someone sends me an e-mail, Entourage automatically responds back to them with a blank e-mail. I can't find any rule or setting that would relate to this and certainly nothing changed in any of my settings immediately prior to this starting last Thursday.

Any thoughts?

There are 3 different kind of rules in Entourage, be sure to check all your
Rules to see if they were somehow modified and check the Mailing List
Manager rules.

Mailing List Manager (MLM)
Junk Mail Filter
Rules (custom rules you create)

They run in the order listed above. The custom rules also run in the order
they are listed. (top runs first)

Each type of account has it's own rules. Click on the correct tab to check
your rules. (Mail (POP), Mail (IMAP) Mal (Windows Live Hotmail) Mail
(Exchange), News, Outgoing)

Thank you for the response, Diane.

I checked all three areas for rules: There are none: No custom rules, no MLM rules, and no special settings that I can detect on Junk e-Mail other than it is set in "high."

How do you know Entourage is doing this? Do you see the email being sent?
Does it appear in your Outbox or Sent Items folder?

the response, Adam.

No, in fact, that's another weird thing about it: There is no record in the "Sent" items folder and only once I was sitting AT my computer when one was apparently sent and I had no indication whatsoever that it had been done.

Now that you mention it,though, Comcast is my ISP and they HAVE recently gone through some changes. that is something else I can check out: thank you for the insight.

Yes, check with your provider. Check your webmail. Perhaps they offer
server-side Out Of Office or rules?
