Entourage Calendar events wrong when Exchange server in the USand Entourage in the UK!!!

Hi

I posted this a while back but got no answers, so I thought I¹d try and be
more specific...

My Exchange server is in the US, and I am in the UK, using Entourage X.
Whenever one of my UK colleagues sends me a calendar invite (they all use
Outlook), the event is displayed in the moth view correctly, e.g. 09:00
meeting, but when I open the event it shows the meeting starting at 04:00
presumably the US time!? My default timezone in calendar preferences is
GMT. When I open the offending event I get this at the top of the window:

³Event and Computer Timezones do not match. In Calendar views, the event
time is adjusted to display correctly²

Events I enter manually all work OK!?

How do I get Entourage X working in the UK with the Exchange server in the
US?

Anyone any ideas?

This would seem to be working as designed. The issue is confused by the fact
that it is UK account holders who are sending you the messages.

Understand that they don¹t actually send Œyou¹ the invite. They send it to
the US Exchange server. I guess that their server is set up for PDT or
something similar, so their 9:00am appointment is translated to a 4:00pmPDT
one. This comes back to you, and Entourage recognises that the timezone is
different and displays the Œadjusted¹ time (9:00am) time in the calendar, so
it will appear right to you. This is all correct.

When you open the event, you see the advisory that the timezone for this
event is different to your calendar setting, because the Exchange server is
sending the event to you adjusted for PDT. The event itself is set in PDT,
so you see the PDT time in the time boxes. You can check this by going to
the options event toolbar item and selecting Œtimezone¹ - you will see the
timezone that this event is set to as a checkmark in the list.

Everything is displaying correctly. The Exchange server has no way of
knowing what timezone their recipients are in, so it correctly sends out
events in it¹s local time zone. Your version of entourage correctly
intercepts that timezone and adjusts the calendar display so the absolute
time is correct from your perspective. When you open the event, you see the
raw data, in it¹s original form correctly displayed.
