Entourage cannot be used with the camintel.com ISP!

Although I can connect to the ISP Camintel in Cambodia, and I can get
Safari up and I am using this OK, Entourage does not work. I am using a
G4 notebook with latest XOS, and I tried it also with my other G4 with
the same results. Same with my Mac Mail program...Camintel can't help
me. I did install Classic 9.2 on my older one and could get mail
through outlook express but I don't want to install it on the newer G4
I have. As I am working here for 6 months in the remote area of Stung
Treng, and the internet is sooooo slow (33600 bps as the moment, and
that is fast compared to some times) I wonder if that has anything to
do with it. I am here as a volunteer, so funds are limited to go to the
internet cafe too much. (with the same download speed). Has anyone an
answer for me please?

Send & Receive problems can be complex to solve, but generally these
solutions apply:

If you can receive but not send then you have a bad SMTP configuration

If you can send but not receive you have a bad POP or IMAP configuration

You can try re-entering info.
You can delete account and create a new one.
Using copy/paste can result in an extra space being added. Type carefully.
Check your Keychain for corruption.

Now that you know the basics, let's get some info about what is failing.

There is testing software named tcpflow that enables you to make a recording
of all the traffic flowing into and out of your computer. It seems
complicated but it's really easy and you can't hurt anything using it.

Download the Mac OS X version
here:

<http://www2.entropy.ch/download/tcpflow-0.21.pkg.tar.gz>

When you install, you do not see it.

To run the test, quit all other apps
that might be connecting to the internet like your browser, ftp client.

Copy/paste in this command in the Terminal:

sudo /usr/local/bin/tcpflow -i en0 -c

Now try to send the email and watch the traffic in the window of the
Terminal. You should see what is failing.

Here is an example with the password xxxxx out.

This is a conversation
between Entourage and my ISP. Entourage send password and ISP responds OK.
Etc.

Once you find out what is wrong, then you can contact the ISP and get the
correct information.
