Entourage cannot connect to Exchange

I have a problem connect entourage to exchange server. Outlook 2001 for
Mac is working. If mac bind to AD, it works. My mac is not bind to AD.
It will keep searching for the Exchange Server and not giving me any
error. I asked someone from another subset which has access to the
exchange server and it works for him. I have talked to the exchange
server admin and there is nothing lock (if he is really telling the
truth). Please HELP me!

Does it work if you use the IP of the server instead of its name ?? Can
you connect to OWA through your web browser ??

Which version of Entourage are you running?
Which version of Exchange Server is running?

Entourage

I'm having a similar Issue.

Versions:

Client - On a Powerbook G4 running OSX Tiger (latest update applied) I'm
using MS Office 2k4 for Mac
Server - MS Exchange 5.5

We are not using LDAP. We can connect the laptop the the exchange server as
mail-only client, but not as an exchange client, so it's not able to use the
directory, and cannot interpret attachements properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Hi Blair,

My understanding is that Entourage for OS X requires Exchange Server
2000 or 2003 to work. By contrast, Entourage 2001 (OS 9.x) was not
supposed to work at all with Exchange, AFAIK.

I'm surprised that email works. Do you know if the server is running a
POP/SMTP setup? That might explain why at least that part is functional.

Perhaps Paul, Matt or Barry can confirm?
