Entourage cannot connect to the server.

Ever since I upgraded from Entourage X to Entourage 2004 I've had
nothing but problems. When ever my schedule runs to check my mail I'm
constantly getting error messages such as "Entourage cannot connect to
the server. Verify that your computer is connected to the network." I'm
connected to a working internet connection, always am. I also get
messages that my "Mailbox is currently locked" and wanting me to
re-enter my password, what does that mean and why is this happening?

I never had these problems before the updgrade and importing of my
account. Does anyone have any ideas?

What type of account do you have ?? Is it Exchange ??

Check to see if your Keychain application is locked? I would also check your
Accounts to see if the password needs to re-entered. Sometimes deleting an
account and creating fresh will help.

i've checked and rechecked all of the accounts. i made sure that the
passwords were all correct and that they were all entered in. so i
don't think that's the problem.

as for the keychain app, how would i check that it's locked or not? i
believe when i upgraded i told it to update all my passwords as well.

Try repairing Permissions on your Mac using DiskUtility. As far as the
keychain goes, launch the Keychain access application. It should show
you whether your keychain is locked or not. From within this app, you
could also run the Keychain first Aid command to "repair" the keychain,

Then in the Keychain app, try deleting the entry corresponding to your
e-mail account. Next time ENtourage tries to get e-mails it'.ll ask you
for your password (and you can save it again in the keychina). Maybe
this will work :-\

yup tried that too and no luck. i've finally contacted microsoft
support about this issue. turns out i get 2 free w/my license so i
figured i might as well.
