entourage can't connect to Exchange in the same subnet

Hi all,
I am experiencing a strange problem with Entourage connecting to
Exchange 2003. Both Mac and Exchange reside in the same subnet, when I
block incoming traffic to Exchange server through port 80 --> Entourage
wont be able to connect to Exchange to retrieve or send emails. I then
open port 80, Entourage now works perfectly.
I then block port 80 again, Entourage will work for a couple days then
stops.
Please help! I am really familiar with the Mac world. All Windows
client work fine ....

Entourage 2004 (is this the version you're using?) relies on WebDAV over
port 80 to communicate with Exchange. Is there a reason you're blocking
this port internally?

It is possible to change the default of port 80 to something else in the
account setup window but you'd then have to open this port on the server.
