Entourage Can't Look Up Contact Names From Exchange Server

When I create a new message in Entourage 2004, and that I start to
type the first letters of
the name of a new contact and then I click on the button "verify the
names"
it gives me an error:

Error: An unknown error (-3248) occurred. Explanation: Error of LDAP
server.

Other than this, Entourage works fine--E-mail is retrieved and sent,
schedules are maintained, etc.

Yannik posted this exact same problem back in July. He never received
a reply (at least not to the group.) If anyone knows what this
problem might be, please let me know.

Thanks,
-Kurt

What is it you think will happen when you Check Names? Are you on an
Exchange server account? Does your company have its own LDAP server?

We're running a very large Exchange configuration....JP Morgan
Chase/Bank One. The Outlook client from Office 2001 works properly.
But in Entourage 2004, we are unable to verify names; we must know the
recipient's name spelling exactly or we're dead in the water. What we
"think" will happen when we check names is that no error will occur
and that the software will do just that--check the names against the
user list and either verify that it was typed correctly or suggest the
closest matches. Also, we really need a way to browse the user list
in case the user is stuck and needs to scroll through them.

In short, we desire the same functionality that all other Exchange
clients have.
