Entourage can't send with one specific SMTP server

This might be related to the "SMTP issues all of a sudden" thread that
started last week -- not sure.

I changed hosting providers a week ago for one of my domains. The
change went smoothly as far as the URL and reading e-mail goes.
However, I haven't been able to send messages with the new mail server.

I can send fine on my PC using Outlook, and on my Mac with Outlook
Express. However, I get the following error with Entourage:

"Mail could not be sent using the account "abc."SMTP authentication
failed. Your account ID or security settings may be incorrect. Would
you like to try re-entering your account ID/password?"

This happens with every e-mail account on that domain.

- Mac OS 9.2.2
- Entourage 2001 v9.0.1
- POP and SMTP servers are the same
- Does require "SMTP server requires authentication" to be on and set
to the same as incoming server (other e-mail accounts also do this and
work fine).
- Again, works fine from other e-mail clients on same system, so
wouldn't seem to be a server, ISP, or system problem. It's specific to
Entourage.

I'm out of ideas. Thanks.
- Kevin
