Entourage categories

Hopefully an easy question. How do I get categories to following my
E-mails? I have various address book contacts marked as family, classmates,
etc. but when I send messages to them, the saved messages don't reflect the
categories. Similarly, I received an E-mail from a non-categorized contact
this morning, but Entourage labeled it as coming from 'family?' Am I
missing a simple preference set-up? Many thanks.

There is a preference related to this. Go to Entourage > Preferences, and,
under "General Preferences", click "Address Book". Check the option to
"Automatically match message categories to senders' categories". This will
set the proper category for incoming mail.

If a message has an incorrect category assigned, try double-clicking the
"From" address to see if the sender's e-mail address is associated with a
contact with that category. If that doesn't reveal anything, then check
rules (Tools > Rules) and the Mailing List Manager (Tools > Mailing List
Manager) to see if they might be assigning the category to the message.

When you reply to a message that has a category assigned, the reply should
have the same category. However, no category is assigned by default for new
outgoing e-mail messages. In that case, try Paul Berkowitz's free "Set Sent
Message Category" script. You can create a new rule to run the script
automatically, which will give the behavior you want. This is described in
