Entourage Conduit Crashes

Hello all. I have just upgraded my Palm Pilot to a Tungsten T3... NIIIICE!
But there's a problem, It wont sync with entourage. Every time I try
syncing, when it gets to the entourage conduit, it crashes. I have all the
latest software, except panther. But WHAT DO I DO, IM losing my mind!

Thanks everyone

I've heard that the new Tungsten models are not compatible with the
Entourage conduit due to changes in the software on Palm's side. I don't
know exactly what these incompatibilities are though. Perhaps someone else
knows? ....

I also have a Palm T3 and a new Mac running Entourage X.

Apparently there is no conduit or capability to sync a T3 with
Entourage...it has yet to be written...

Microsoft?

I also have apalm and Entourage X. What a hassle it was to sync. I
think I spent the better part of three days working on it. Seems that
you need to download a special link in order to sync. It is in plain
sight on the Entourage X page from Microsoft, but who would know where
and what to look for? It is called "Entourage Sync for handhelds" or
something to that effect. I have a new problem, I can't preforn a
"Install Handheld files" to my palm. There is no Entourage conduit
for that (just adddress/datebook/notes/tasks). Of course, both Palm
and Microsoft said loud and clear "NOT OUR PROBLEM". So here I am left
in the lurch.

Your Palm software came with a number of conduits, including Backup and
Install. These are not replaced by Entourage and will work fine alongside
it. All Entourage does is supplant the Palm-supplied Address Book, Calendar,
Notes, and Tasks Conduits.

Walt is correct that the Tungsten E and T3 are not fully compatible with
Entourage. I believe it has to do with the fact that Contacts supports more
than one address per contact, which is not true for Address Book (the old
software).

I haven't heard of these new handhelds causing crashing. Have you made sure
your recurring events have end dates?

I have been syncing with Entourage and my T3 since I purchased it.

Andrea: To install handheld files (usually they have a .PRC extension), you
open HotSync Manager, and go to the HotSync menu. There is an option to
³Install Handheld Files². On my PowerBook, I usually just double-click on
the PRC files and it adds them to the HotSync manger.

The Palm conduit on Microsoft¹s site works fine with all Palms there is no
special T3 conduit. The only thing missing from the conduit is support for
the T3¹s color-coded categories.

Darren: I don¹t know what to tell you. Try this: in the Entourage conduit,
select each item (addresses, calendar, tasks, notes) to sync individually
(i.e.,, perform a sync only on your addresses, etc.) This might narrow down
the problem. I¹ve had a couple of instances where repeating tasks (to do¹s)
can make the conduit crash. Also, are you sure it¹s the Entourage conduit?
From personal experience, I¹ve found the Docs ToGo conduit makes HotSync
crash much more often.

Hope this helps.

Well it crashed because of 2 separate problems. Once was due to a
reoccurring event that I moved 1 of the instances in entourage and the palm
software I guess doesn't support that. The other time the culprit was the
notepad. I ended up having to delete all my notes on both the palm and in
entourage. Do you know what could cause that?
