entourage connecting to exchange error

Wim Van Clapdurp

Hi, when I try to connect to an exchange server on our network I'm
getting a error.

Mail could not be received at this time.

the server for accont "tcsnet.local" returned the error "logon failure:
unknown user name or bad password." Your username/password or security
settings may be incorrect. £Would you like to try re-entering your
password?

With two buttons.
One is NO
one is Yes

When I push Yes I can re logon.

I'm sure the password of the windows 2003 sbs account is correct.
I tried with administrator as well no succes.

What can be the problem?

many greets,

Corrupted entry in Keychain Access??
In Keychain access, try running Keychain first Aid.
If it doesn't work, try deleting the entry corresponding to your
Exchange account so that it could be re-created from scratch next time
you get your e-mails.

There are problems with using a domain called xxx.local with a network
containing macs. All the macs see a .local as referring to
bonjour/rendezvous protocols.

There is an excellent whitepaper containing details of the problems and
work-rounds here:
