I need to have my contact groups in LAST name order. When I hit sort, it sorts
by first name. I've searched and searched and can't find out how to set this.
I have same problem with Apple mail, hence my trying Entourage. Thanks.
You cannot set this in Entourage preferences, but one of the best features
is Entourage's ability to use AppleScripts.

This script will sort the group entries (group members) of either a selected
group in the Address Book, or one or more groups you choose from a list, or
all your groups "whatever you choose" into alphabetical order by last name,
something the standard operation of OE cannot do. Your Group members
presently appear in their Group windows in the haphazard order in which you
entered them over time. After running this script, all the group members
names with their e-mail addresses will appear in their Group windows in
alphabetical order by surname (or only name), including even Group members
who are not proper contacts dragged from the Address Book but who have been
added by typing in their names and e-mail addresses.
