Entourage Contacts Search

Whenever I search my contacts database I would like to be able to
search for company names or last names together without having to fill
in these options everytime separately in the search box. Now it only
seaches for names and if I need to find a company name I need to go to
the popup box etc. Any handy tips?

Thanks

If you do a 'simple' find (cmd-F) and enter the name in the single search
box, but leave the 'search subjects, titles and names only' box Unchecked,
any contact with any field containing the search text will be found.

That doesn't seem to be working for me (simple Find, unlike Advanced Find,
seems to miss information in my database), but a Spotlight search with the
desired gave me the contact I was looking for instantly. So, if you have
Entourage 2004, try enabling Spotlight and using that to search for
contacts.

I have the same problem with searching contacts in Entourage - I have
the latest update for Entourage (2004 11.3.3). When I use the Find
command it misses contacts that i can see in my contacts when i do a
manual search.

I also find it very strange that I can find some contacts when i put my
pointer in the contacts and start typing the contact - but I can't find
others. Some of the contacts seem to migrate to the top of the field
regardless of spelling - even when i try sort them alphabetically (it
seems to be the latest accessed contacts - but not always).

What is going wrong with this program?

Are you searching in the Address Book or in the popup list of addresses in
the message window?
