I seem to have a problem with some combination of Safari – OS X 10.3.4
– Entourage (Office X). I am connected to Airport Extreme with a LAN
line and only use wireless connection for another computer.
The problem: With Entourage open – as I drag the mouse over the
buttons at the upper left, top of the window (Mail, Address Book,
Calendar, etc.) each turns gray and non functional. Sometimes the
messages listed in the inbox window disappear. I am unable to do
anything in the program. I then have to "Force Quit" to be able to use
Entourage again. At first I thought the problem was associated with a
cordless phone that I had near the computer, but I moved it and still
have the problem. The only time I have noticed that this happens is
when I am using Safari and Entourage at the same time.
I have refreshed Entourage Preferences & Entourage Settings (10);
Rebuilt Entourage X Database – both "typical" and "advanced" methods;
repaired permissions and run cocktail. I have installed all software
updates, including Office updates through 10.1.5
The problem happens infrequently, perhaps only several time a month
and it started when I upgraded from 10.2.8 using archive and install.
Anyone else experienced similar weird behavior?
