Entourage crash

I don't know if anyone has experienced something similar but lately I
am often seeing my Entourage crashed when I come to my office in the
morning. This happened first on Panther (10.3.9), but the incident has
persisted after I did a fresh-install of Tiger and Office 10.1.0. I'd
appreciate any tips for resolving this problem. Here are some details:

* It does not crash during the day when I am working on the machine,
but it's often dead when I come in office in the morning.

* I set my "energy saver" to let the display and hard drive sleep after
some time of no activity, but I leave the CPU running all the time
(sleep set to "never"). So, Entourage should continue to fetch mails
from the server when I am not in office.

Thanks,
J. Byron

I haven't had Entourage crash, but I've had some VERY strange Energy Saver
behaviors with 10.3.9 on a Flat Panel iMac. It seems to be partially broken
as it only activates _some_ of the time. At times it will never sleep the
screen even though it is supposed to. Other times, it actually puts the
system to sleep even though it is NEVER supposed to.

This all started happening for me at 10.3.9. I also had numerous kernel
panics that were unexplained, recurred often and only disappeared with an
archive and install of the OS. I suspect that my older system is beginning
to have growing pains with the newer OS versions. I don't believe that they
are supporting them backwards very well since there are much fewer problems
reported on newer systems.

I'd be curious to know which Mac you have.

Regards,
-Mark

The machine on which Entourage often crashes is a dual 2GHz G5. I
don't seem to have the same problem on my PowerBook. But that may be
because I never leave it running overnight.

I've always left my machines on, and never had a problem until 10.3.9.
